Miley Cyrus is currently promoting the new single from the upcoming album it turns out is called ‘Bangerz’ because the sound of batteries dying in your Sony Walkman in 1999 is also the sound of a club banger. She’s spent WEEKS begging her Twitter fans to bolster her follower count to 13 million. She was close, previously, but a bunch of those were bot accounts that got removed. So today, as she reached her goal, she announced the album name. She explains, ‘If you don’t know why my record is called BANGERZ you’ll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ.’ And she’s currently promoting We Can’t Stop in Notion Magazine where she denies being a ‘ratchet white girl’, dressed like this, and says you’re #jelishaterz. ‘I’m young and living and in L.A., which is everyone’s dream, you know. I’m living it to the fullest,’ she says being totally serious. ‘People have this misconception of me that I’m just one of these kids on TV and that now I go off and party and I’m just this ratchet white girl, and I’m not. I work really, really hard, I’m just in a different environment.’
