The whole world is eagerly awaiting to hear when the royal baby arrives! In true royal fashion, there’s a perfect plan in place to announce when Kate heads to the hospital to deliver her bundle of joy.
Kate Middleton, 31, is due in the middle of July, but while the world waits for the good news, the royals have every detail already planned out — including how they’ll announce when the Duchess of Cambridge has gone into labor. The anticipation is building!
Kate Middleton’s Labor To Be Announced Via Press Release
Kate will be giving birth to the world’s most anticipated baby at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, and a helicopter is on-hand in case she goes into labor early. But no matter when she goes into labor, as soon as she checks into St. Mary’s, a press release will immediately be released to the public, announcing the royal baby is on the way!
Princess Diana spoke about the first time she went into labor in 1982, when William was born. A similar announcement was made, and the world waited with baited breath.
“I felt the whole country was in labor with me,” the late Princess said in 1995, 13 years after the epic event.
It’s no doubt that Kate will feel the same way, but she and hubby Prince William, 31, are ready for their baby to be the spectacle of the world, whenever he or she is finally born.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge realize there will be vast interest in the baby,” a palace spokesman told Us Weekly. “This is a time of national celebration.”
Baby Details Will Be Released After Royal Baby Is Swaddled
No one knows what the gender of the royal baby is — not even Kate and William! — but it shall be crowned HRH Prince or Princess of Cambridge if it is a boy or girl, respectively.
As soon as the baby is safely swaddled upon his or her arrival, the gender, weight and time of the birth will be revealed.
As for the name, we might not know it right away, but that’s not necessarily because Kate and William are keeping it from us. The Duke and Duchess might not even know themselves! After the birth, a source told Us Weekly they “may take some time” to decide what to name their baby.
Whatever gender, name or birth date, we can’t wait for the arrival of the royal baby and hear all of the details!
