This month marks the two year anniversary of Amy Winehouse's tragic death. At only 27, Amy's passing came as a shock to many of her fans.But Amy's still VERY heartbroken mother is saying she always knew her troubled daughter was destined to die young! Janis Winehouse recently admitted:
"I couldn’t see Amy as an older person. She was this young girl who exploded into the world like a firecracker and then it was, ‘OK, I’m done — I’m off’. Amy was never meant to be 30.”Amy's death in 2011 was eventually ruled an accidental alcohol poisoning. When someone so talented dies so young, we have to wonder what lead to her downfall? Amy's mom however says she can't even remember when the singing sensation's problems got out of control. She explained:
"I don’t believe there was any one point where you’d say, ‘This is where things started to go wrong for Amy’. Eventually I stopped lying awake at night worrying and accepted that I couldn’t do anything."Our hearts continue to go out to the Winehouse family, who now dedicate much of their time to the Amy Winehouse Foundation - an organization aimed at preventing drug and alcohol abuse.
